About me

Hi, I am Viv

If you are looking at this page then it is likely that you are thinking about accessing counselling.  I know that you want to find the right counsellor someone that can listen to you and be there for you.  I can be that someone you can be there to support you

I am an integrative counsellor; Which means that I am trained in a variety of approaches and I can adapt my practice to what would be of benefit to you.

I am a Person-Centred Counsellor, bereavement counsellor, cognitive behavioural awareness counsellor, and Psychodynamic and trauma-informed counsellor. I am also a talking and drawing practitioner.

Counselling can be short-term or long-term which is dependent on what you need.

You might feel ready to look at what happens to you in your life and it may be that you want to work toward achieving a brighter future and be able to reduce your stress, worries and any anxieties that you might have now.

Whether it has been something from your past that you are ready to work through or whether it is something that is affecting your life at this moment. It could be through your experience of living through a difficult time of your life currently causing you stress or anxiety. It could be that you have been affected by the death of someone close to you and you just want someone to talk to about your grief and loss.

Sometimes it can be difficult to talk this through with your friends and family. You might feel that you don't want to burden them with your thoughts, or they might feel that you should be getting better now and you should not still be upset about someone who has died. I am here to listen.

You might be considering counselling due to something in your life that such as family relationship difficulties or couple relationship problems. Family and couple relationships sometimes need more time to think about to ensure that it is working well for you. I can do this within a counselling session with you. I work with couples who have relationship difficulties and would like to work together to resolve these problems. I do not pretend that I can sort out all things about your relationship, I would like to work with you to find out what works best for both of you.

I also work with people who have experienced racial trauma. Whilst every person's experience of racism will be different I am here to listen to  your experience
