About me
Psychotherapy and Counselling offer a safe, supportive, collaborative and confidential relationship where you can think about yourself, your life and the unique issues you face. They can help you to come to terms with painful experiences, losses and patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that make life difficult for you, and help you learn new ways of being with yourself and in relationships with others that make life more enriching and rewarding.
My integrative approach pulls from different, but complementary, psychological and philosophical ideas, including recent developments in neurobiology, to support the process of growth and change. This approach allows me to tailor how we work together to best suit you and the issues you want to work on.
I work on a weekly basis. Having a regular appointment on the same day and time each week provides a safe, reliable space that you know will always be there for you. There are lots of ways to explore issues, from talking to more creative ways to deepen our understanding such as breathing techniques, increasing body awareness and using the arts.
I work with clients in the short, medium or long term, depending on what you want to work on. It is perhaps helpful to think of shorter-term work as having specific aims in mind and longer-term work allowing you to explore yourself in greater depth.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
