About me

Hi, I'm Vicky.

Are you feeling stuck in your life?

Are you tired of repeating the same, unhelpful, behaviour patterns?

Perhaps you've had a major loss or life transition and feel that you've lost your direction?

I am an experienced UKCP registered psychotherapist who has worked with individuals and groups for five years in my private practice and in a specialist addictions treatment centre.

I offer a warm, open-minded, and gently challenging safe space for us to explore what brings you into therapy. It's my policy to have a free 15-minute informal phone call before starting psychotherapy with potential clients. I'm located about a mile off junction 46 of the M1 near Leeds.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working with adults who have issues with addictions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, abusive relationships, childhood sexual and emotional abuse, drug and alcohol misuse, ADHD, family of origin issues, and relationship issues.

I'm a UK Council for Psychotherapy accredited and registered Psychotherapist.

I trained for four years at Scarborough Psychotherapy Training Institute where I gained a post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.

I have a Certificate in Supervision from Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy.

I have a first-class BA in Social Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
