About us
The Mind Body Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic based in Tonbridge, Kent. The clinic has a counselling team of 9, including 3 clinical psychologists, 3 psychotherapists, 1 CBT specialist, 1 counselling psychologist and an 1 Art therapist. We are able to treat clients of all ages including children and couples. Therapy sessions can be offered in person or online using Skye or Zoom, 7 days a week including most evenings.
Our therapists can treat most forms of mental illness from mild forms of anxiety through to more serious conditions such as psychosis.
We request that all clients speak or email their chosen therapist in advance of their first appointment, to ensure they are comfortable and that the therapist can assess suitability. This initial discussion is without obligation or cost. Our practice manager will be able to advise which therapist is best placed to meet your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
All of the clinic's therapist are highly qualified professionals with a wide variety of experience and expertise. Many have worked in hospital settings and in some cases continue to do so. Qualifications are all the way to PhD for our Clinical Psychologists and all therapists are members of recognised governing bodies that include HPCP, BPS, BCAP, BABCP and BAAT.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
