About us

The Mind Body Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic based in Tonbridge, Kent. The clinic has a counselling team of 3, including 2 psychotherapists,  and an Art therapist. We are able to treat clients of all ages including children and couples. Therapy sessions can be offered in person or online using Teams or Zoom, 6 days a week including evenings.

Our therapists can treat most forms of mental illness from mild forms of anxiety through to more serious conditions such as psychosis.

We request that all clients speak or email their chosen therapist in advance of their first appointment, to ensure they are comfortable and that the therapist can assess suitability. This initial discussion is without obligation or cost. Our practice manager will be able to advise which therapist is best placed to meet your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

All of the clinic's therapist are highly qualified professionals with a wide variety of experience and expertise. Many have worked in hospital settings and in some cases continue to do so. All therapists are members of recognised governing bodies.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
