About me
Hi, my name is Tori. Firstly, I would like to acknowledge how difficult life can be sometimes, and commend you on taking that first and sometimes very difficult step in seeking support.
Background Information about me
In 2012, I had a life changing accident at work, which left me unable to work or continue my studies for 6 years; however, I was committed and determined to not let a ‘bump in the road’ alter my goal of becoming a counsellor.
Prior to my accident, I had 10 years of experience working with children between 3 months-19 years old in various settings; which included providing care and support to children with complex needs such as, Autism/Asperger’s, ADHD, and other mental health needs/difficulties.
I am now a fully qualified counsellor with a Masters in Clinical Counselling, and a Registered Member (MBACP) of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). Whilst counselling university students, I supported students with a variety of concern including: abuse, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, self harm/suicidal thoughts, stress and trauma to name a few (see below for a more comprehensive list of concerns).
How do I work?
As a Person-Centred Therapist, I will support you through exploring your own thoughts, feelings and experiences, as I believe that no one understands you as much as you do. I will listen without judgement, and help you explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential and therapeutic environment.
I offer online counselling, with the first appointment being an assessment session, followed by the beginning of counselling session.
The amount of counselling sessions provided can be as many or as few as you would like, alternatively, we can arrange a fixed number and review how you are feeling at the end of those sessions. Each counselling session is 50 minutes long.
Getting Started
Please do not hesitate to get in touch via email (at the top of this page), if you would like to arrange an initial assessment, or if you have any questions - I aim to respond with 24 hours.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
