About me

COVID UPDATE: I am currently offering online counselling, including Zoom, WhatsApp and FaceTime Sessions.

I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore any problems and to work through them in a way that is most helpful to each person. I believe that everyone is unique and so the circumstances surrounding each person's difficulties are unique also.

I offer a caring, empathetic environment where thoughts and feelings can be discussed freely with someone trained to listen carefully, to help make sense amd understand any issues and help you move forward.

As a Registered and Accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psycotherapy) I work within their ethical framework.

I am an Integratively trained counsellor, therefore, my foundations are in Psychodynamic, humanistic and CBT counselling, but not soley confined to one school of thinking.

I have a diverse range of knowledge and varied skill base, including (but not limited to): abuse, domestic violence, terminal illness, trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues, separation, divorce, work related problems, mood disorders, addiction and many more. Working Integratively allows me to work collaboratively with each individual in ways which best suit them, meeting their individual needs, as everyone is different.

I work with individuals both short term and long term. All sessions are confidential.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
