About me

Hi, I am a friendly, professional, qualified Integrative counsellor, working in Barnstaple and Bideford offering a safe and supportive space to explore your concerns. I have experience working with adults in both individual and group sessions. Asking for support is the first step forward when life can seem a bit overwhelming.

I am interested in what I can offer for you and being able to provide a pleasant, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore any concerns.  I like to share my professional experience and knowledge to help unravel some of life’s challenges.

Working together we will be able to increase your self-awareness and reinstate a greater sense of balance and control. I am an Integrative Therapist which means that I use my knowledge of several different theoretical models to find the tools to help you and provide the right support needed, personalising it for you.

I work in private practice as well as being a senior counsellor and Deputy Clinical Lead at Clarity which is a Barnstaple based mental health charity. I have experience working with a wide range of adult clients, aged 18+, and mental health issues from a basic need of self-exploration, anxiety, self-harm, bereavement, depression, trauma and historical abuse. I offer both short and longer-term therapy to suit your needs.

I am a registered member of the BACP which is the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. As a Member of the BACP, I work within their ethical framework and am fully committed to my own continual professional development by regularly undertaking additional training courses to enhance my therapeutic work.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
