About me
Hi, I am a qualified Therapist and Clinical supervisor working in Bideford and Barnstaple. I like to provide a friendly, professional supportive space to explore your concerns. I work as an Integrative practitioner, which means that I use my knowledge of several different psychological models to personalise our work to suit you and your individual needs.
Asking for support is the first step forward when life can seem overwhelming; low mood, anxiety, confusion, irritability, and isolation are some of the feelings we can experience when life is challenging. My work ethos is about encouraging support through increased self-awareness and a greater understanding and knowledge of mental health.
I am interested in what I can offer you to increase your understanding of where you are now and identify specific tools to enable you to move forward. Working together, we can increase your understanding and self-awareness leading to reinstating a greater sense of balance, and control.
I have gained a range of experience based in my private practice as well as having been a senior counsellor and the Clinical Lead at Clarity which is a mental health charity based in Barnstaple. My experience is working with adult clients, aged 18+ in groups and 1-2-1 sessions covering a wide range of mental health issues. I offer both short and longer-term therapy to suit your needs.
Finding the right therapist is important for the therapeutic work to be successful, it is vital that you feel comfortable with your therapist. For this reason, I offer a free initial telephone assessment, without any obligation.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)and ICO. As a Member of the BACP, I work within their ethical framework and am fully committed to my continual professional development by regularly undertaking additional training courses to enhance my therapeutic work.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
