We can dance to the beat of our own drum.
At certain times in our lives there may be a need for emotional support so finding the right counsellor is the first step in helping to explore the issues and concerns that can create an inner turmoil that can weigh a person down. The counselling relationship is built on trust, compassion and understanding – with the needs of the client always at first hand.
I work collaboratively with you, to help identify and acknowledge how your past can affect you, and your current relationships. Wherever path you are journeying, counselling can give you the opportunity to challenge the difficulties and life issues and unhelpful patterns of behaviour. Counselling enables you to understand and creates a self awareness of new perspectives and different choices that can lead you to a healthier emotional well-being. My role is to offer you a supportive, safe and confidential environment to explore what is important to you and to bring about realistic, manageable and lasting changes that are in your best interest.
I am a registered Integrative Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, offering short and long-term therapy using my skills, knowledge and tools of thought from different therapeutic orientations. My work covers a wide range of concerns and issues such as communication and relationship breakdowns; families issues; life events; anxiety and stress; trauma, loss and bereavement, children and young people.
