About me
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with over five years of post‑qualification experience, supported by more than twenty years of working alongside children, families, and individuals in a variety of settings. This background has shaped a practice that is compassionate, grounded, and deeply person‑centered.
I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to ensure each session is tailored to the individual. I have supported clients with many different experiences, including neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, grief, and the emotional impact of life changes. My aim is always to offer a safe, confidential, and non‑judgemental space where people feel genuinely heard and understood.
Clients have described me as warm, empathic, and steady. I listen carefully and stay alongside people throughout their journey, helping them explore their thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for them. I believe strongly in the power of a nurturing therapeutic relationship, and I work collaboratively to support clients in moving towards the goals that matter to them.
My own lived experience of mental health challenges has shaped the way I work. It has strengthened my belief in authenticity, compassion, and the importance of feeling truly met by another person. These values guide every aspect of my practice.
I offer an initial session where we complete an assessment together and discuss the client–therapist agreement, ensuring clarity, safety, and a shared understanding of how we will work together.
