About me

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or burnt out by the pressures of your career or a major life transition?

It takes a great deal of courage to look for help when you are navigating uncertainty. You might be grappling with anxiety, severe work-related stress, or difficult questions about your purpose, identity, and direction. Or, you may simply feel that something is 'not quite right' but cannot put your finger on it. Whatever brings you here, I provide a confidential, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental space where we can safely explore these feelings together and find a meaningful way forward.

How I can help you

As an integrative and existential psychotherapist, my priority is helping you understand yourself more deeply so you can move forward. Instead of just focusing on symptoms, we will look at the broader patterns of your life to understand what is keeping you stuck.

We will work together using a "dual focus". First, we will explore your internal world—how you make sense of your experiences, clarify your values, and navigate fundamental questions about meaning and identity. Second, we will look at how external systems, such as your relationships, family, and workplace, impact your daily life.

While my background includes 20 years of leading corporate mental health programmes—giving me a practical, firsthand understanding of severe career burnout and high-performance pressure—my focus in the therapy room is entirely on you. My ultimate goal is to work alongside you at your own pace to help you manage overwhelm, unlock new perspectives, and build the confidence to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.

Taking the next step, I have a deep respect for the courage it takes to begin this process of change. Whether you are looking for open-ended psychotherapy or focused, short-term support to navigate a specific crisis, I am here to help.

I invite you to reach out for an initial assessment. This first step gives us the chance to talk through what brings you to therapy, explore whether it may be supportive for you, and see if we are the right fit to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

My professional career is guided by a deep interest in how people navigate complex systems to find well-being.

What my experience offers you is a "dual focus": a deep therapeutic understanding of your internal world, alongside a real-world appreciation for how that world is shaped by external systems.

For many years, I explored this in a corporate context, shaping wellness strategies that supported thousands of employees across Sub-Saharan Africa. This gave me a valuable, systemic view of the severe pressures people face and inspired me to return to my clinical roots to work directly with individuals.

As an HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist, my clinical work is grounded in an integrative approach with a specialist focus on existential psychotherapy. This is informed by my doctoral research into how a personal crisis of meaning can shape the beliefs we form to cope with anxiety and uncertainty.

My foundational clinical training included working in acute psychiatric and medical settings, where I provided psychotherapy and complex psychological assessments across diverse, highly challenging environments. More recently, I have been privileged to apply this in local clinical settings, supporting people impacted by cancer at Maggie's Cambridge and working with a diverse client base at the Cambridge Counselling Service.

Together, we can use this dual focus to work through a wide range of human experiences—from navigating anxiety, loss, and relationship challenges to confronting the search for meaning and purpose during significant life transitions.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
