About me
You may be coming to counselling feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or struggling with relationships, loss, stress, or self-esteem. Perhaps you find yourself overthinking, feeling unsure of who you are, or trying to make sense of experiences that feel difficult to process. Sometimes it can feel hard to know where to begin.
I offer a warm, supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I see therapy as a collaborative process — one where you can feel heard, understood and supported without judgement.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw from Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt, CBT, Transactional Analysis and body-oriented approaches to support your individual needs. Together, we can explore patterns, emotions, past experiences, identity, and ways of coping that may no longer feel helpful.
I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, and questions around identity, belonging and self-acceptance. I offer an LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive space where people of all backgrounds are welcome.
While therapy can involve exploring painful or difficult experiences, I also believe there is room for warmth, humour and moments of lightness. These moments can help build trust, connection and a space where you can feel more able to be yourself.
I offer online counselling across the UK and face-to-face sessions at Dragonfly Wellbeing in Mutley Plain, Plymouth. Starting therapy can feel daunting, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re considering counselling, I invite you to take that first step.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the NCPS.
My training draws from a range of therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This integrative approach allows me to work collaboratively, adapting therapy to each person’s individual needs and experiences.
Alongside my core training, I have undertaken additional CPD in Core Body Process Psychotherapy, deepening my understanding of the connection between emotional experiences, the body, and how we relate to ourselves and others.
I have experience supporting adults with anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, identity questions, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I have a particular interest in supporting people exploring identity, belonging, self-acceptance, and personal growth.
Before training as a counsellor, I worked in the TV and film industry for over 25 years. This experience gave me a deep appreciation of people’s emotional worlds, relationships, creativity, and the complexity of human experience.
I continue to undertake regular professional development and work within the NCPS ethical framework.
