About us
We are a small team of highly trained and experienced Chartered Psychologists providing a range of evidence based therapies. We have branches in Petersfield, Southsea and Haywards Heath and provide therapy online. We have all undertaken many years of training and have a wealth of experience working in the NHS and the private sector. Where ever you find yourself, be it a place of struggle or simply wanting to fulfil your life’s potential, The Psychology Company will help you on your personal growth journey.

Training, qualifications & experience
All our psychologists are Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and we’re accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Those of us who practice Schema Therapy are members of the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST). We are also registered with leading private health-insurance companies, including BUPA. (Many insurance companies pay for online therapy, too.)

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
As a practice, each Psychologist sets their own fees in accordance with the type of work, the frequency of sessions and other factors such as the client’s income.
As a guide, the fees for an individual therapy hour (50 or 60 minutes depending on who you work with) range from £90 to £130. Some Psychologists may offer a couple of appointments at a significantly reduced fee but please note these appointments are often in high demand. If you are able to pay a higher fee then please consider doing so as this enables us to offer a sliding scale to less privileged clients and we thank you greatly for that.
All of our Psychologists are highly qualified and are experts in their field.
The fee you will pay will be agreed between you and your clinician following an initial assessment.
Some of our Psychologists are covered by private health insurance and are charged at a separate rate
