About me

Welcome to my profile and taking and taking the steps towards making change or getting a better understanding of yourself.

I work with people who want to be heard and have low self worth of themselves which can leave frustration into relationships causing anxiety alongside depression and the feeling of being disconnected. Low self worth can form from upbring, early and adult experiences as well bereavement or loss.

Starting counselling can feel daunting and not too sure what you can talk about or were to start. This can feel overwhelming or the fear of feeling exposed and vulnerable. The first session does not have to be a time to say your deepest darkest secrets or heavy past events straight away it place for you to feel you can be yourself and start to build a relationship when you are ready you can speak about what is on your mind without guilt or shame.

I am a counsellor and a certified BACP member  which is governing body for counselling in the UK  which means I am accountable and will ethically follow guidelines of practice .

I work in an integrative approach, which means I work with not just one way with every client but work with the needs that you bring to the sessions in flexible way to help guide you through family issue, grief, past trauma or self esteem.

You might be unsure what you need, worried about opening up, or simply wondering whether talking to someone could make a difference. Whatever has brought you here, you deserve a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and explore things at your own pace.

I offer a calm, non‑judgemental environment where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are welcomed just as they are. I value being able to listen and for you to be heard and have the ability to open to what you are comfortable to talk about in the sessions

In our work together, you set the pace. I’ll walk alongside you, helping you make sense of what you’re facing, understand yourself more deeply, and find a way forward that feels authentic and manageable for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
