BSc (Hons) Counsellor/Psychotherapist

About me

Finding someone to talk to during difficult times can feel intimidating and confusing. My aim is to make this process as comfortable as possible, offering reassurance, clarity, and gentle support. Many people find it incredibly helpful to speak with a counsellor in a safe, non-judgmental and caring space where they can explore whatever is troubling them.

I am an experienced, degree-qualified integrative humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I specialise in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and bereavement (grief and loss).

I work in a predominantly person-centred way, with the therapeutic relationship at the heart of my practice. I offer a warm, supportive, confidential and emotionally safe environment where you can talk openly about how you really feel. I believe that it is through a genuine, non-judgmental and authentic relationship that meaningful change can begin to take place.

My integrative approach means I draw on a range of counselling theories and techniques in order to tailor therapy to your individual needs, pace and goals, supporting you in developing greater self-understanding, emotional resilience and positive change.

I have studied BACP-accredited counselling degrees through Greenwich and Surrey Universities and have experience supporting clients with depression, anxiety, work-related stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties, abuse and trauma.

If you would like to explore whether counselling is right for you, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. You are welcome to contact me via the directory or by email to arrange a time

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
