About me

Hello, I'm a Chartered Psychologist (HCPC & BPS) with over seven years' experience supporting adults across the NHS, community and charity sectors. I work with people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, and I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood and safe.

I know that taking the first step towards therapy can sometimes feel difficult. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, low or struggling to make sense of experiences that have affected you. You may simply feel that something in your life needs to change, but not know where to begin. Whatever has brought you to therapy, I will meet you with warmth, compassion and without judgement.

I work with adults experiencing difficulties including anxiety and worry, depression and low mood, stress and burnout, anger, life transitions, grief and loss, low self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness, shame and guilt. I have a particular interest in supporting adults who have experienced trauma, including PTSD and complex trauma.

I am also particularly passionate about culturally sensitive therapy and supporting people from ethnic minority and South Asian communities. Our culture, family relationships, expectations, identity and sense of belonging can all shape how we experience ourselves and our difficulties. I believe there should be space in therapy to explore these parts of your experience when they are important to you.

My aim is to create a safe and collaborative space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Whether you are looking for short term support around a particular difficulty or a longer term therapeutic journey, I feel privileged to walk alongside you as you work towards greater understanding, wellbeing and positive change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have trained as a Practitioner Psychologist at a doctorate level and I have extensive experience working across NHS, community, charity and educational settings.

Throughout my training and professional experience, I have supported individuals experiencing a broad range of difficulties. My training has included has included a range of therapeutic approaches, and I work integratively according to the individual needs of the person I am supporting. My practice draws particularly on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Systemic approaches.

Society can sometimes lead us to ask, “What’s wrong with me?” In our work together, we begin to consider a different question: “What has happened to me, and how might this help me understand the difficulties I’m experiencing today?”

My approach recognises that each person’s experiences and circumstances are unique. An important first step in therapy is to develop a shared understanding of the difficulties you are facing, alongside your strengths and resources, exploring how your past and present experiences may have shaped the way you feel, think and relate to yourself and others.

Further information

My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you can talk openly about what is going on for you.

I understand that everyone comes to therapy for different reasons and that you may not be completely sure what you need when you first get in touch. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can take some time to understand what you are experiencing and consider together what kind of support would be most helpful.

I offer sessions online by either video or telephone. Sessions can be arranged depending on your needs and preferences.

If you are unsure whether therapy would be right for you, you're welcome to get in touch. We can have an initial conversation about what you are looking for and whether I might be able to support you.
