About me
When you are struggling with emotional or mental health challenges, it can sometimes be difficult to find the words to describe how you feel. I am a qualified music therapist, and offer music therapy as a psychological intervention to support mental health and emotional well-being. I offer a safe, supportive space where we can use music to explore and understand emotions, reduce anxiety, and improve well-being.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults, many of whom are experiencing anxiety, low mood, or other mental health challenges. I also work with children with additional needs, including autism and ADHD.
You do not need to be a musician or to have any musical skill to benefit from music therapy. I am trained to support you to use music in ways that feel supportive and meaningful for you. Talking may be part of our work together, but it is not a requirement. Sessions might involve actively creating music and sounds together, or listening to music and using this as a starting point to explore feelings and improve wellbeing. The focus is always on self-expression and emotional exploration, rather than musical skill.
I am trained in psychodynamic music therapy, which means I am interested in how past experiences and relationships can influence how we feel and relate in the present. I work flexibly and collaboratively, ensuring that your needs remain central to each session.
Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss how I could support you, or someone you care for. I am based in West Sussex and offer regular face-to-face music therapy sessions, lasting 50 minutes each (or shorter when working with young children).
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a post-graduate (MA) qualification in Music Therapy, and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

What is music therapy?
Music therapy is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that can help you or someone you care for:
- Understand and express emotions
- Build self-esteem and confidence
- Reduce anxiety
- Improve overall well-being
Music stimulates many areas of the brain, connecting thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Music therapy can be a powerful intervention for everyone, including if you have additional needs, anxiety, low mood, or other mental health difficulties.
