About me
Welcome to my profile. Meeting you where you are, I provide an individualised level of care through a blended approach where you can talk freely, be deeply heard and feel understood. You are at the centre of my practice. I offer a safe and relaxed space in which you can explore your inner world with no judgement.
Engaging in counselling can be a powerful way to explore issues with the aim of bringing a sense of relief, peace and clarity. Through listening my aim is to collaboratively explore and gain a better understanding of your unique world, in doing so we can create solutions that fit within your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
Fully qualified and registered integrative practitioner to FD Degree Level, PGCE in Secondary Education & BA Hons in Design. I have also achieved Counselling Children and young people level 3. I am also a certified executive coach to ACC level through ICF and NeuroLeadership Institute and can blend elements of this as requested.
I have worked with young people for over twenty years in secondary education with a particular skill set with neurodiversity. This also means I have an understanding of child development and an awareness of issues impacting on children and young people.
My approach centres around empathic understanding, collaboration and compassion. Throughout this approach I weave a person centered core approach alongside CBT & psychodynamic elements in a creative way. With over twenty years’ experience working with children and young people and those who are neurodiverse I implement a trauma informed practice.
I have worked with a range of client presentations including suicide and self-harm, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, confidence and relationships.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
