About me
Sometimes its difficult to say whats on your mind.....
Through numerous years of experience working with people, I have come to see that no issue is too great. The difficulty comes in trying to overcome it alone
I can help you cope with difficulty and make positive change... You don't have to do it alone.
Our initial meeting will offer an opportunity to discuss specific issue's past or present, that are causing difficulty or concern. It is my hope that you will feel better informed about counselling and whether or not it is appropriate for you at this time, and also give some indication as to whether or not my approach meets your needs and expectations.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and as such my service is governed by their Ethical Framework for good practise in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
As a CPCAB trained counsellor and psychotherapist I work with a wide range of clients and their individual difficulties and personal challenges in both private practice and the voluntary sector.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
My work in addictions especially Alcohol and Drug related issues continues to show me how these problems effect the whole family. Working with the partners and children of people who suffer with substance misuse, be it alcohol or drugs can be a very important part of the whole process. Sometimes the person with the problem isn't ready to seek help but a family member may need to talk to someone just as much as the person using alcohol or drugs.
It may be just as important for any person living with this problem to find a safe non judgemental place to come to, to talk about how they feel. The entire family are living with this problem.
