About me
I am a compassionate, friendly therapist, offering professional, evidence-based therapy, with over 20 years experience in the field of mental health. As a fully accredited psychotherapist, I provide Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focussed therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
I am experienced in working with a whole range of problems and conditions, from phobia's to trauma, to OCD and depression, to name but a few. Whether you are feeling down, anxious or stressed, I can recommend a therapy that is proven to be effective. Many of the treatments I offer are supported by NICE guidelines: https://www.nice.org.uk/
I am fully accredited with the BABCP and a member of EMDR UK & Ireland. In addition, with my background in nursing, I also maintain my registration with the NMC. This ensures that I maintain the highest standards of practice, ethics and training, so that you can be confident of receiving the best quality service.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
