About me

I am a UKCP Registered psychotherapist, with over 13 years of experience, working with adults on an individual basis.

I have found that people seek psychotherapy for many different reasons: you may be struggling with relationships issues, a break up, emotional distress, low self esteem, feeling panicked, experiencing a bereavement, anxiety and depression and other feelings that are effecting your life. You may not even know what really brings you to find a therapist, just a feeling of being stuck or that life is missing meaning or purpose. These are just a few of the issues that I can help you with.

As your therapist I will provide a safe space to explore with you thoughts that perhaps may be difficult to talk about with family and friends. I will help you make sense of difficult feelings and help identify patterns and behaviours that may perpetuate difficult feelings. Or encourage you to think with me about what might be being avoided. This can lead to a more fulling and enjoyable life.

I believe that there is no single therapeutic style that holds all the answers so I take an integrative approach. This allows me to be flexible and tailor the work to meet your individual needs. This can of course be a factor even with session times, so where possible I will try and offer an appointment that fits into your working week and/or child care. I will be guided by you and what feels right and appropriate.

Contacting a therapist is a very positive sign that you are ready to think about the issues you may be grappling/ suffering with, however I understand that this step can feel very daunting. With this in mind I would recommend an initial consultation with myself where I can answer any questions you may have and this time will also allow you to get a ‘sense’ of how I work and if you feel comfortable to proceed with me as your therapist.

My private practice is conveniently situated  opposite Liverpool Street station in east London, and a  short walk from Moorgate tube station.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from Regents College of Psychotherapy. I have worked as a Psychotherapist for the charity Mind and for the NHS at Camden Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Services with adults of all ages for short and long term work.
