About me

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and have experience working with adults at all stages of life.

There are times in our lives when events can leave us overwhelmed, lost or confused. Sometimes things can just get to be too much.

You don't have to power through alone! I can offer you a safe space to talk about your issues and to help you work through them.

I have worked for many years with people at all levels in private, corporate and organisational contexts and with young adults moving on from school or university, where they may not have had the best experiences, and finding their way in the world. I have also worked as a counsellor with Age UK.

People seek counselling for many different reasons. I have helped in areas of self-esteem and confidence, personal growth and development and with issues such as relationships, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, Aggression, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Phobias, Depression, Grief and Loss and much more.

I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy can be very helpful, in combination with counselling, in breaking through certain barriers that we may or may not be aware of, but which may be getting in the way of moving forward. If you or I feel that this could be a helpful part of the therapeutic process, then I will be happy to discuss this with you.

I understand that seeking help can be difficult and may sometimes take a lot of courage. Please call me for a free no obligation chat so that we can discuss what you want to explore and find a way forward.

The number of sessions you may need depends on what you want to sort out, everyone is different. The initial consultation gives you a chance to discuss in more detail what you wish to explore and how best I can help. You may have an issue that can be addressed and where you can see your way forward after a few sessions, or you may need longer. Either way, we can review progress regularly.
