About me

Welcome! I'm Susan.

I'm an experienced and qualified therapeutic counsellor based in Gloucestershire providing individual counselling for adults of all ages, both face-to-face and online.

People come to counselling for many reasons, at all ages and stages of their lives. Sometimes for something very specific like anxiety, sometimes because they just feel “off” or lost.

I offer a warm, safe, non-judgemental space where you can be supported to make sense of your experiences at your own pace.

I see the relationship we build together as a vital part of the healing process. I focus on being present with you, truly listening, and creating a space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings. In short: it’s about us working together as people, not just as counsellor and client, to find the path that feels right for you.

I draw from a range of therapeutic models depending on what feels most helpful for you; I offer a trauma-informed approach, recognising how early experiences and trauma shape the way we respond to life, relationships, and challenges. My work is rooted in a person-centred approach, supported by Existential ideas about how we navigate life’s big questions and Transactional Analysis to understand the patterns of behaviour we carry from the past.

Together, these approaches can help you understand your experiences, build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others and move towards a greater sense of wellbeing.
