Sukeina Ravji MSc, IPTUK, UKCP, MBACP
Hello and welcome, seeking support can often be quite daunting, particularly in trying to find the right therapist. You may be struggling with a range of issues from, relational difficulties, to the loss of a loved one or a traumatic past. You may not know the cause and could be feeling lost or stuck. Whatever the issue, we all present in individual ways and I offer to tailor a therapy that will be right for you. I appreciate how difficult it can be to reach out for help at such times and find the right professional support for your needs. My warm and nurturing approach will provide you with a non-judgemental environment to help explore and understand your difficulties. I hope you can learn a little more about me here and how I practice to help to gain more clarity in seeking the support that is right for you.
I am a UKCP accredited, Clinical Integrative Psychotherapist, qualified at MSc level with over 12 years’ experience. I work in a relational and humanistic way, providing a supportive and non-judgemental safe environment encouraging growth, healing, and change; equipping you with tools to manage and understand your issues better.
I offer both short- and long-term Counselling and psychotherapy with a range of therapeutic interventions which best suit your needs. some of these include creative ways using imagery, mindfulness, and spirituality. At the heart of therapy will be our relationship, offering a trusting and warm space to understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how these relate to your ‘here and now’ problems.
Training, qualifications & experience
My wealth of experience and training over the years has equipped me to work with a range of life challenges including, sexual abuse, Race, culture, body image, low self-esteem, identity, gender, relationships, and trauma (including trans-generational trauma) though, this is not an exhaustive list.
As a practitioner I have a keen interest in how our mental health connects to the illnesses within the body. Thus, I help to make mind, body and spiritual connections in a safe environment which facilitates the healing of historical wounds. It is by improving the relationship with our bodies, minds, and social connections that we see this healing transpire.
Alongside my private practice I work within the IAPT NHS service, with nearly five years’ experience as a high Intensity Integrative Psychological therapist and an IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) psychotherapist, which uses an evidence-based modality to reduce symptoms of moderate to severe depression.
Over the years I have worked with Counselling and Psychotherapy services at:
- MIND, the mental health charity
- Women’s AID
- Rape Crisis
- SARC (Sexual Abuse Referral Centre)
- YMCA – Young people’s Counselling services
- Drink and Drug sense (School Counsellor)
- MSc Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (Staffordshire University)
- (IPT) Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPTUK)
- Post Graduate Diploma Integrative Psychotherapy (Sherwood Institute)
- Mental Health Certificate (Sherwood Institute)
- Transactional Analyses 101 (Sherwood Institute)
- Diploma in Integrative Counselling (CPCAB)
- Certificates in Counselling Skills & Theory (CPCAB)

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
UK Council for Psychotherapy
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
