The inner critic is the part of us that wants to point out all of our faults. It expects perfection and won’t accept anything less. It also assumes it knows how others think and feel about us. Listening to this inner critic can often make us feel really bad about ourselves.
Working together I will encourage you to:
- Listen to yourself with compassion and understanding, instead of judging or condemning yourself
- Understand and help to relax your anxieties and fears
- Understand and release self-limiting beliefs
- Understand the wounded/protective parts of you that hold you back in life
I believe that the relationship between the client and the therapist is crucial to the success of therapy. I am a fully qualified, experienced and BACP registered therapist.
I provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential setting; a place where we can fully determine what is really going on beneath your defences; defences which may have protected you in the past, but may be impeding you today.
The ultimate goal is to unburden or restore the extreme and wounded parts of the self, and establish a healthy, harmonious internal system.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
My fee is £50 per 50 minute session. There are a number of low-cost sessions available for people on Job Seeker's Allowance, or on low incomes. Please contact me to discuss more (email@example.com) (07983 501330)
I offer an initial FREE 30 minute Zoom or telephone consultation. I can give you an insight into how I work. You can then decide if you would like us to work together, either at my practice in Oakwood, or via Zoom.
Generally, sessions are weekly, on the same day and time, either at my practice in Oakwood, or on Skype. They can be on a short term or a long term basis.
Weekdays: Day times and evenings
My practice is under 10 minutes walk from Oakwood Station, which is on the Piccadilly Line. Skype sessions are also available.
