About me

Stacey Cole

Integrative Psychotherapist

Since 2016, I have been working as a Psychotherapist/ Counsellor, supporting clients who feel challenged by different aspects of their life such as managing everyday life, whether that may be day to day needs such as work/school/college or just getting out of bed in the morning. I have helped others to build self-awareness and self-confidence, boosting resilience, or handling life stressors.

People come to psychotherapy to address specific problems they may be experiencing and to pursue personal growth and development. What is more, psychotherapy helps us make connections between the past and present experiences to help promote a better understanding and focus on our difficulties in the here and now.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I work by modifying my therapeutic approach to meet my clients’ specific needs and requirements. Integrative psychotherapy respects that everyone is different, with unique experiences, emotions, and values.

My objective as a therapist is to help you gain insight and to offer fresh perspectives, so that together we can discover new ways of thinking and a way forward. My approach incorporates compassion and insight, providing you with a safe and non-judgmental space to explore and express your thoughts and emotions freely. I am committed to supporting and challenging you, as this is where clients experience the therapeutic process as beneficial and impactful.

Finally, laughter is an important part of my life. I aim to bring humour to everything I do, including the work with my clients, as it can encourage creativity and the essence of possibility.

Fun facts about myself:

My hobbies include being out with my family in the outdoors, whether that be activities such as bike rides, a long hike or camping in the most beautiful places. I enjoy being creative, baking and cleaning are my go-to places to de-stress and feel in control.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
