About us

Space 2B You is an online national specialist, systemic mental health service where everyone belongs.

A space to pause.
A space to breathe.
A space to feel understood.

At Space 2B You, you are met with kindness, curiosity, and genuine care. We listen deeply, honour each person’s story, and create room for every part of their experience without judgement.

We offer a calm, compassionate space for individuals, young people, families, and professionals who need support navigating emotional, relational, and neurodevelopmental challenges.

Our Approach

Our approach is trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and grounded in compassion, evidence-based practice, and lived experience. We work systemically, recognising that wellbeing is shaped not only by the individual but also by relationships, environments, and wider systems.

We support individuals, couples, families, schools, NHS services, local authorities, and organisations, providing flexible and collaborative care that fits the unique needs of each person and context.

Our work includes:

  • Individual counselling and psychotherapy
  • Family and systemic therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • EMDR therapy
  • Trauma-informed therapy
  • Parent support and psychoeducation
  • Neurodivergent-affirming support
  • Autism assessments
  • ADHD assessments
  • Biopsychosocial functional assessments
  • Reports for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Professional supervision
  • Training for schools and organisations
  • Workshops on mental health, trauma, and neurodiversity

We also work closely with schools and organisations, providing consultation, staff training, wellbeing support, and therapeutic input to help create environments where people feel safe, understood, and supported.

Autism and ADHD Assessments

Our Autism (ASD) and ADHD assessment team offers comprehensive, evidence-based assessments for children, young people and adults. Assessments are completed by experienced multidisciplinary clinicians and follow recognised clinical guidelines, using a combination of standardised tools, developmental history, clinical interviews and observational assessment. We take a neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed and holistic approach, recognising each person’s strengths, needs and lived experience within the context of their relationships, education, work and wider systems. Following assessment, we provide clear feedback, a detailed written report and tailored recommendations to support individuals, families, schools and other professionals in understanding and supporting neurodivergent needs.

Workshops & Training

We offer a range of workshops and training designed to support professionals, organisations, and families across education, health, social care and private sectors.

Our sessions are adapted for a variety of audiences including teachers, pastoral teams, healthcare professionals, social care staff, parents, and professionals working in organisational settings.

Training is grounded in trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, and evidence-based practice, helping participants develop practical skills, deepen understanding, and feel more confident when supporting individuals and families.

Workshops and training may include topics such as:

  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Neurodivergence awareness (Autism and ADHD)
  • Positive communication and validation

Evidence

Families often tell us they value the warmth, professionalism, and genuine care they experience within our service.

An independent evaluation by Healthwatch Wirral (2023) found that our Family Focused Intervention (FFI) programme was:

“Overwhelmingly effective in improving wellbeing for carers and family quality of life.”

What families say about working with us:

“We are deeply grateful for her professionalism, care, and kindness, and we would wholeheartedly recommend the therapist and the organisation.”

“Therapist was so kind, caring, and non-judgemental.”

At Space 2B You, we believe that everyone deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered, and that no one should have to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
