About me

Hi, I'm a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience working in the NHS and private practice and I am the owner of Brightside Psychology. Together with my team of highly skilled and experienced clinicians we offer expert, compassionate support to adults facing a wide range of psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, chronic pain, relationship difficulties, postnatal depression and anxiety, grief, trauma, and stress. We are  also specialists in health anxiety and health trauma.

At Brightside Psychology, we pride ourselves on providing timely, evidence-based psychological care that is individually tailored to your needs. Our team is trained in a range of therapies including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention and Cognitive-Analytic Therapy. Together, we will explore the underlying patterns contributing to your difficulties and set achievable goals that support lasting, meaningful change.

Our welcoming therapy rooms offer a safe, confidential and comfortable space for you to share your experiences. If you prefer you can access sessions from the comfort of your own home, via an online platform. We offer daytime and evening sessions and we have a range of fees to suit most budgets.

Looking for something a little different to therapy? We are also experienced in providing clinical supervision to a range of mental health professionals, workplace training and consultation.

If you feel ready to take the next step, please contact me for a free, no-pressure confidential telephone consultation. I’ll take time to understand your needs and we can explore together how Brightside Psychology can help.

Training, qualifications & experience

At Brightside Psychology we work with adults, couples and groups, supporting them through a wide range of mental health challenges. These include depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, health anxiety, OCD, relationship difficulties, grief, loss, trauma, and adjustment to physical health conditions.

Before founding Brightside Psychology I spent many years working in the NHS providing specialist psychological support to people living with health conditions such as persistent pain, renal impairment, cancer, neurological disorders, and health anxiety.

I hold a BSc in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I am also a UK and Europe Accredited EMDR Practitioner and an EMDR Consultant in Training. I offer regular clinical supervision to a range of mental health professionals both within and outside of the NHS.

At Brightside Psychology, we bring together clinical expertise and our compassionate approach to deliver personalised, evidence-based therapy to help you create meaningful, lasting change.

Working alongside my dedicated team, we are committed to offering evidence-based care in a supportive, confidential environment. You can choose to see us in-person or online and we offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments.
