About me
I am a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist registered with HCPC and UKCP. I am also trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (accredited by BPC) and CBT. I have over twenty years experience of working as a psychotherapist in the private sector and in the NHS. At present I am working for a London NHS trust in Psycho-Oncology, where I mainly see people who have been affected by a diagnosis of cancer and I facilitate consultations and de-briefings for staff members.
I am a recognized provider with BUPA.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A PSYCHOTHERAPY SESSION?
The therapeutic process seeks to enable you to decide on how to manage your life and make the choices that can lead to greater fulfilment. As a psychotherapist I offer a facilitative relationship so that you can reach the unique answers that suit you. Together we will consider your life and how you experience it with the aim of understanding the aspects with which you are currently struggling.
FIRST SESSION
The initial session will last for 50 minutes and we will explore what has brought you to counselling or psychotherapy, what you would like to achieve and agree a plan for how to proceed including session times, length, frequency and duration. Generally I recommend starting with a weekly session for six weeks at which point if you are finding the sessions helpful we continue. Sessions are confidential and I work within the UKCP's ethical frameworks, details of which are available on their website

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
