About me
I offer online EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy for adults who may be functioning well in many areas of life, yet still feel affected by anxiety, self-criticism, emotional reactivity, disturbed sleep, intrusive thoughts, or memories that continue to resurface. I work with people whose past experiences whether clearly traumatic or harder to name, such as emotional neglect or chronic relational hurt still seem to shape how they feel, relate, or respond in the present. My approach is warm, thoughtful, collaborative, and carefully paced, with attention to safety, containment, and what feels manageable. I offer weekly, fortnightly, and intensive online sessions in English, Spanish, and Catalan.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an EMDR therapist with over 25 years of professional experience in arts-based psychotherapy, alongside a background in education, social care, and more than a decade of providing clinical supervision to health professionals. My EMDR practice is informed by this broader therapeutic experience, as well as by further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Relational Therapy (ERT), and by many years of personal therapy.
Over the years, I have worked with people of all ages who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and emotional neglect. In recent years, my work has focused on adults experiencing the long-term effects of unresolved childhood and adult experiences.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
After each session, I will send you an invoice within 48 hours. Payment is usually made by bank transfer within seven days, unless we have agreed something different in advance. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice where possible. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur the full fee, except in exceptional circumstances. Fees for intensive EMDR sessions are agreed in advance, depending on the length and structure of the work.
Further information
Many of the people I work with have spent years coping alone or have tried other forms of therapy before coming to EMDR. When they come, they often say they understand what has happened to them cognitively, yet still feel their body is holding on to it. EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity of unprocessed experiences, so that the past feels less intrusive and the present feels more manageable. I often work with people who carry a great deal or are used to holding things together for others, including teachers, healthcare professionals, carers, parents, therapists, and those in the creative and performing arts.
EMDR sessions begin by understanding your difficulties and agreeing therapy goals. Before working with trauma memories, we spend time building coping strategies to help you feel safe and supported. Trauma processing usually starts after one to three preparation sessions and involves focusing on a memory while using bilateral stimulation, such as taps, sounds or eye movements. We pause regularly to check what you notice, and the process moves at a pace that feels manageable for you.
If you are wondering whether EMDR might be right for you, I offer a free 20–30-minute video call so we can explore whether this approach feels like a good fit.
