About me

🌿 About me

If you’re seeking support for your mental health because you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or separation anxiety, you’re not alone. You may be experiencing burnout, low self-esteem, emotional exhaustion, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, bereavement, or complex family issues, trying to make sense of painful changes.

My name is Serena, and I’m an integrative counsellor offering a supportive space for adults. I specialize in helping those dealing with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, and Generalised anxiety disorder (GAD). Whether you are struggling with low self-confidence or looking for trauma-informed care, you don’t have to face it on your own.

🌱 Areas I work with I work with adults experiencing the following concerns (which often overlap):

  • Anxiety (including Generalised anxiety disorder, separation anxiety, and health anxiety)
  • ADHD and Neurodiversity (navigating the unique emotional challenges of a neurodivergent brain)
  • Depression, low mood, and persistent feeling sad
  • Trauma and PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder)
  • Bereavement and loss (adjusting to significant life transitions)
  • Relationship difficulties, attachment disorder patterns, and family issues
    Low self-esteem and low self-confidence

🌿 How we will work together
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, moving at a pace that feels right for you. Rather than just looking at surface-level symptoms, our work focuses on three key steps:

  • Finding the root cause: Together, we will look beneath the surface to identify the origins of what you’re going through. Whether it’s past experiences, family issues, or long-standing patterns, we work to find the "why" behind the struggle.
  • Understanding the impact: We explore how these root causes are affecting your life today—your relationships, your self-esteem, and how you handle stress or anxiety. Understanding this connection is the first step toward feeling back in control.
  • Working through it together: Once we understand the roots, we collaborate on how to move forward. I use a trauma-informed approach and incorporate practical CBT tools where helpful, helping you develop new ways to cope and build a more grounded relationship with yourself.
There is no “one-size-fits-all” here. Whether you are navigating ADHD, healing from bereavement, or simply tired of feeling sad, we will tailor our sessions to focus on what matters most to you.

🌼 What you can expect from counselling

You will have a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind without fear of judgement. Together, we can gently explore unhelpful patterns, build emotional awareness and resilience, and develop a kinder, more grounded relationship with yourself.

Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, grieving, or simply unsure how to move forward, counselling can offer space to pause, reflect, and feel supported.
