About me

As a registered Psychotherapist & Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MBACP), I currently offer face-to-face sessions from my Practice in Bromley, BR1 and Peckham, South London and online sessions (using Zoom).

I want clients to feel comfortable when embarking on therapy, it can be a vulnerable and unsettling time. I am a friendly, down-to-earth, genuine person. I offer a warm, kind, compassionate space where trust can be built through patience and empathy.

I will not judge you, I will listen and help you to explore both past and present issues that may be holding you back and causing you difficulties.

All feelings are welcome, and I aim to support you to find more emotional balance where a centred and grounded connection in your mind and body can aid healing and growth.

Whatever your reasons for seeking support, I am here to listen without distraction, to fully see, hear and accept you in your wholeness, without judgement, with care, compassion and empathy. I can help you to explore anything that is impacting your everyday life, functioning and wellbeing, to become more choiceful in how you live your life, to feel more confident, resilient and empowered.

I welcome people of all nationalities, races, religions, ages, genders, disabilities and those from the LGBTQ+ community and people with neurodivergence.

I adapt my style as the work progresses to help achieve your aims.

Next steps to get started...

First of all contact me by phone or email to see if our availability matches and so we can set up an initial assessment session. For online clients I offer a 20 minute phone-call to discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you are hoping to get out of it. For in-person clients we do that face-to-face in a initial session. If we agree to work together... we will find a convenient time slot and begin weekly (50 minute) sessions. In the first full session we will discuss contractual information, confidentiality and practicalities.

My in-person practice: Siobhan Talk Therapy is at a location in Bromley BR1 (details on request) and at Caya Therapy and South London Therapy Group both located in Peckham Rye, London, SE15 4PU (good transport links and parking available).

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
