Member organisations *

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
We are a highly professional team who have experience in many areas where people are struggling. We are empathic and we do not judge you! Our building is in a discreet location so for those who are afraid to be seen coming to counselling we are well situated. However we find that after counselling most of our clients find that the stigma they perceived around counselling was unfounded and are more than happy to tell people about us because it has made such a difference to them!
We also offer choice at Simply - we allocate you a counsellor that best suits your needs however if you do not get on or 'click' with that counsellor then we are happy to refer you to another one on our team so that you can find the 'best fit' for you! We also allow our clients to choose whether they have a male or female counsellor.
We normally find that most clients have seen a change in their mood/feelings/situation within 6 to 10 weeks however this does vary from person to person.
Give us a call and our friendly staff will talk you through what you can expect when you come to us.
