Simon Cohen MBACP, Diploma & HND in Counselling
Hello, my name’s Simon and I’m a professionally qualified, experienced counsellor and therapist offering home and work visits that can be arranged to suit you.
** During this difficult time, I am offering my services online via Skype and Telephone. I am also offering reduced rates, so please get in touch to discuss your situation.**
If you’re going through a bad time with stressful situations at home, the workplace or in relationships, I can offer support and guidance to tackle those issues and help you take back control of your life.
If you are suffering with anxiety, I have worked with both male and female clients of all ages, including students and couples. I have gained a lot of valuable experience working at the BRIT school. This includes working with clients who had to cope with the pressures of life. I have also gained lots of experience working at the Wimbledon guild helping those going through relationship issues, bereavement and depression.
How can counselling help?
Your problems can seem hopeless when you have to face them on your own, but it makes all the difference to talk to an understanding person who will give you their undivided attention and never judge you. Someone who will put your worries and fears into perspective – and then work with you to find effective ways to resolve your particular situation.
Clients have told me what an overwhelming sense of relief they experience by sharing their problems, after bottling them up and trying to cope alone.
Group Therapy for relationships
This therapy is for a small number of people (normally between 3-6). With my guidance as a professional therapist we can help you work through your relationship issues. If you would like more information on this please give me a call or email me.
What should I expect from my first session?
I understand that looking for a counsellor can be difficult, so I am currently offering the first session at a reduced rate of £35, for couples this is £45. This gives us the opportunity to discuss together what can be achieved through counselling and how I can help you. I am able to meet at a time that's convenient for you, as I am flexible and able to offer appointments both daytime and evenings.
I offer counselling in a peaceful environment where you will be respected and know that our conversations are in the strictest confidence. Everything we do will be geared to help you gain greater self-awareness, insight and understanding to help overcome your problem.
If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call or send me over an email, and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
