Clients reach out to a counsellor or psychotherapist at a point in their lives when they need help and are at their lowest point. You have no other option but to seek through therapy. You might be suffering from symptoms of depression, anxiety or/and panic attacks, eating disorders, self-sabotaging behaviours, relationship issues, need marriage counselling, anger or self -harm and the list can go on.
These symptoms are very difficult to manage and can start to interfere in your daily life such as your relationships, everyday life, professional life or marriage, you may stop socialising and isolating yourself and you don’t know where to turn.
Throughout my clients therapy journey, I am there with a holding space where you feel safe and not judged to speak about what you are going through and how you are feeling and thinking.
Over the years as a counsellor and therapist I have helped clients overcome anxiety, depression, panic attacks, eating disorders, trauma, relationship issues, bereavement, childhood trauma, marriage/couple counselling, identity crisis and other concerns.
I am of the belief that you don't have to suffer from mental health to seek help from a psychotherapist and counsellor. At times life can become stressful and interfere with your daily life and you feel the need to find a place to talk and explore your feelings.
I am a qualified and accredited/registered counsellor/psychotherapist offering counselling and psychotherapy in North London (Primrose Hill) and Rickmansworth.
I recognise that weekly face-to-face sessions are not always possible for all clients, including busy executives who travel extensively or who are based abroad. My counselling services are tailored for each client to combine personal meetings with Skype and/or phone session and maintain regular contact and to ensure continuity of your therapy

Training
I am a fully qualified and accredited/registered psychotherapist and counsellor practicing in Central London (Mayfair and Bond Street) and Rickmansworth.
I began the early years of my career working in the Homelessness sector with extremely vulnerable clients suffering from mental health, homeless young adolescents, teenage mothers, domestic violence, self-harm and drug abuse. Through my own therapy journey I have gained clinical experience through various placements at charity mental health organisations.
My counselling experience includes working at the prestigious Psychiatric Unit of the Maudsley Hospital and being involved in the Schizophrenic Twin Studies project as an assistant research psychologist. I then worked closely with children under the ages on 10 years at an autistic unit in a special needs school and then took up my role as a counsellor with City and Hackney Mind and Psychosis Therapy Project with Islington Mind.
My own extensive personal therapy as part of my psychotherapy and counselling training has enabled me to gain an insight in understanding and have knowledge of what the psychotherapy journey involves. I understand that taking the first step in therapy can be very daunting but let me assure you, if you are reading this then you have already begin thinking about making a change in your life.
I work with people from all traditions, cultures, religious and ethnic backgrounds
I hold myself to professional codes of ethics and guidance set by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) thereby assuring the utmost confidentiality to all my clients.
An open approach
Mental health concerns such as anxiety can be extremely worrying as they can create a unexplained fear of things, bodily sensations, you can’t stop thinking and worrying about things, unexplained worries to do with health.
Depression can make you lose interest in things you liked doing, you lose your motivation and drive. You may feel weepy most of the time, low moods, not feel like getting out of bed. You might feel you have a dark cloud hanging over you that you are unable to explain. Counselling or Therapy will help you to overcome these unexplained feelings, thoughts and behaviour and make shifts in your life to begin living and flourishing again
In my therapy and counselling practise I do my level best to create an open approach and provide you with a safe and confidential space where you can work through your thoughts and feelings and begin to remove the layers to explore the underlying causes.
Becoming aware of why you may be suffering from symptoms associated with depression, anxiety or other mental health concerns will help you to develop resources within you to find the way forward.
Please feel free to contact me by email, text or call if you wish to ask me any questions or just have a chat to ask me how i can help you. I will do my best to respond to your worries and questions.

What is counselling and psychotherapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy allow you to explore areas where you might feel stress, anxiety or fears. It provides space to explore and find a deeper understanding of yourself and discover the resources that you have within you to help manage symptoms such as depression, anxiety or other mental health concerns.
How long will psychotherapy take?
This depends entirely on you and why you seek to begin the psychotherapy journey. You may have a specific issue to discuss or you may want to make deeper changes in your life and pursue longer-term work.
I offer short term counselling for a period of 3 months where we meet weekly. If you have a desire to undergo long term psychoanalytical psychotherapy work this will be open ended and we decide together when this stops.
Why do i need to speak to a psychotherapist or counsellor? I talk to my friends?
Psychotherapists and Counsellors go through comprehensive training and extensive personal psychotherapy before we can work with you. A psychotherapist will not tell you what to do but support you in finding the resources within you to better manage and resolve your situation and symptoms.
