About me
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and certified couples counsellor working with individuals and couples. I have experience of working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues and marital difficulties.
In sessions the work focuses on exploring and reflecting on what might be the underlying causes of symptoms. I encourage clients to bring in dreams or other creative works that they would like to reflect and explore in our sessions together.
There are times when we are faced with difficult moments that can make us feel anxiety, feelings of sadness or depression, we might be grieving a loss. Or we just need a place to be listened to. It doesn't mean that you have to be diagnosed with mental health label to want to go to see a psychotherapist. It is these moments that we need to find a place where we can speak, to be listened with care, compassion and empathy.
I offer sessions by phone, Zoom and in person. Feel free to call me on 0203 488 4231 to have a brief chat. If I don't answer please leave a voicemail and i will do my best to get back to you within 48 hours.
I have experience of helping clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, bereavement, intercultural/interfaith marriage/relationships, marriage/couple counselling and relationship issues.
My therapy works also involves working with the South Asian community. Being of a similar culture it makes it easier for clients from the Asian background to speak to a therapist who has an insight into the culture and traditions. My interests lie in intergenerational trauma, shame, couples counselling, interracial relationships, migration, race, relationships and cultural identity crisis.

My approach
Time and time again I am asked by prospective clients what my approach is.
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working with individuals as they navigate trauma, grief, anxiety and depression. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy usually works by exploring the unconscious and underlying causes of the symptoms. I encourage clients to bring in dreams and other forms of creative works that provokes their interest and curiosity.
I am also a certified couples counsellor.
My interests are working in a relational and culturally informed way with the people i see.
Our Sessions
I offer weekly sessions either in person, online ( zoom) or via phone.
