About me
Are you tired of going around the same old mountain? Do you need a helping hand? My name is Sherene Charles and I am passionate about supporting others to live their best life yet.
My Experience:
I have been practising for over 10 years. I currently provide counselling for individuals and couples. I have experience of working with the following: depression, anxiety, relationship problems, bereavement, suicidal thoughts, addictions; affairs, work related stress, low self-esteem and sexual abuse. As a result of my many years in practice I have gained extensive experience and I am able to work with a variety of issues.
Getting Started:
You can call, email or text me to arrange an appointment. During our first session I will explain how counselling works. There will be a chance for you to ask any questions you may have. I will take some basic information from you and we will complete an assessment together. The assessment enables me to gather important information from you and to establish what your needs are and the best way for me to support you. It is also an opportunity for you to gain a sense of how I work and to see how comfortable you feel with me and whether I am the right person for you to work with.
If you would like to experience your best life yet, I would feel privileged to accompany you on your journey towards self-discovery, fulfilling relationships, forgiveness, healing, wholeness and restoration. Let's start the journey together now!

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
