About me

Life can bring challenges that leave you feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or carrying more than you can manage alone. Taking time to focus on yourself and your own unique circumstances, alongside professional support, can help you feel heard, truly understood and better able to manage.

I understand that reaching out takes courage and can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of things starting to feel lighter. I offer a warm, supportive, down-to-earth and confidential space, where you can feel safe to explore and make sense of whatever difficulties you may be experiencing, without judgement.

Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we can begin to understand why you feel the way you do and explore ways of moving forward with greater confidence, deeper self-awareness and practical tools to help you navigate life with more satisfaction.

You don't need to have anything worked out to begin. If you're thinking of getting support, you're very welcome to get in touch, book a free introductory call or visit my website to find out more.

I am passionate about supporting people to live their lives as fully and as well as they can - not perfectly, but in a way that makes the most of what life brings.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

My work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach, which looks at how our past experiences shape how we feel and respond in the present. By talking and gently exploring what has gone before, we can begin to identify triggers, trends and behaviour patterns that may not be serving us well. With this deeper understanding, we can then begin to explore different strategies to bring about positive lasting change.

At the heart of what I offer is a warm, down-to-earth and client-focused way of working, helping clients to live life as well as they can - not perfectly, but in a way that makes the most of what life brings.
