About us

I am Sharon I work as an individual counsellor. My business is called Time 2 Connect Counselling

Firstly thank you and well done for taking the first steps to contacting me . It can be a big step for some individuals, I am here to offer you the time and space to explore life’s challenges , your well being and anything you may currently be struggling with in life .

I understand that emotions can run very deep and that you may want weekly sessions on a long term basis or that just a few sessions can be enough to help you gain confidence , contentment or self worth . These sessions will allow you to set the pace , to gain trust to explore what’s personal to you .
I will be guided by you as my client to help make sense of how your life may have become difficult . Helping you to reconnect with your feelings, emotions or life’s burdens .

HOW I WORK

As a therapist I work with a range of clients to support their journey as individuals, everyone’s path is unique to them .

There is no judgement held in my therapy , you are welcome to sit in silence until you feel confident to open up to me . You are welcome to speak as and when you feel comfortable, or if you are feeling angry and want to have a rant this is your time to explore those emotions in a safe , empathetic space.

ABOUT ME

I work as a project worker two evenings a week , I work with young people with autism, offering confidence building , social skills and allowing each young person to build on their strengths and to work towards overcoming any weakness they may feel they have .

I have volunteered within group sessions with young people for 18 months .
I have worked for 6 months with adults at Penhaligon’s . Covering  a range of areas of counselling to offer my clients a place to be open whilst offering respect and empathy to my clients .

I continue to keep up to date on training to offer my clients a broader range of knowledge .

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
