Integrative Counsellor BACP (Registered).

About me

I’m a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor working from Stroud in Gloucestershire, where I offer in person sessions. I also provide online and telephone counselling across the UK.

I am a friendly, genuine and warm person, who will offer you a calm and safe environment to explore whatever is going on for you – whether it’s in your present, past or future.

My aim is to support you and help you find the confidence and resources to understand and manage life's challenges - in a way that feels right for you.

I believe that real change begins with real connection. At the heart of my therapeutic practice is a commitment to creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

I am committed to building a trusting and honest relationship with you, which is non-judgemental. We will work together, collaboratively, to explore past or present difficulties and experiment with new ways of coping - giving you the confidence and resources to understand and manage life’s challenges in a way that feels beneficial to you. We will go at your pace, and our work will be guided by what feels right to you.

As an Integrative Counsellor and Coach I draw on various models and approaches including Person Centred, Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic and CBT theories, Compassion Focused Therapy, ACT and Transactional Analysis. This allows me to tailor my therapeutic style and interventions to meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual client.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a distinction in Integrative Counselling from Newman Birmingham University and am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).

I am also an accredited coach and member of the European Mentor and Coaching Council.

As well as working privately, I work in organisations including the NHS and the BBC - supporting staff with a range of issues and training leaders and coaches, so they can support themselves and others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
