About me

Hello, a warm welcome to you. My name is Sharon and I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist. This means that I work with clients who are experiencing a range of issues, using a Humanistic Integrative approach: CBT, Gestalt, Person-centred, Psychodynamic and TA. I adhere by the BACP ethical framework of good practice and also abide by the ACC professional code of ethics.

If you are hurting, worried, anxious, fearful, feeling overburdened with life’s problems, lonely or distressed, or just searching for answers, then I believe counselling can help you.

You will be given space to share what’s going on in your life:

... to share your story
... to explore your thoughts and feelings, in a safe environment
... to explore pressing issues
... to set goals and to work toward them

I work with adults, young people and the elderly, offering services in:
1. Long-term or short term counselling therapy
2. Crisis listening
3. Coaching / mentoring
4. Home visit (counselling therapy) is available for the disabled, elderly, and housebound

I conduct face-to-face counselling in a safe and comfortable environment; alternatively Google or Skype video call, phone, and online chat counselling sessions are also available. Each session will last 50 minutes, once a week, over an arranged period and will start and end on time. If you decide that counselling is what you require, you will be allotted your own space to share without interruptions.

I aim to provide you with a trustworthy and confidential opportunity, for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a secure environment. Your needs come first and therefore you will be helped through this process without judgement or giving advice. I will help you work toward self-awareness and help to promote change, with clarity of thought and positive decisions.

During therapy, you will work on building your self-esteem and self-confidence. You are responsible for yourself and your own actions and you have the freedom of choice. You will be allowed to work through issues in your own time and you will be helped to explore and work them through.

All work done with you will remain confidential, but I attend monthly supervision, where I discuss my client work with a qualified supervisor. However, to ensure confidentiality, clients are identified by using their initials or first name only.

Subsequently, I attend ongoing professional training and CPD, for continuous competency in how I work with clients.

For face-to-face counselling therapy, my counselling practice location is within travelling distance of the following areas: EC2M, SE4, SE6, SE8, SE9, SE10, SE13, SE14, BR1, BR4.

For travelling purposes, counselling service is provided within the areas of: Bishopsgate, Brockley Bromley, Catford, Deptford, Lee, Lewisham, New Cross.

The Practice in Lewisham / New Cross, is located near Goldsmith College,  Lewisham College and St. John's Medical Centre.

Alternatively, you can contact me for more information about: video call, phone, or online counselling (chat / email) which may probably suit your needs, as some clients may find that expressing concerns and/or questions in writing, is better for them and helps to organise and focus on a particular problem.

Please feel free to contact me with your inquiries or to book an initial 1/2 hr assessment.
You can expect to receive a detailed response within approximately 24-48 hours, of your initial contact.

Training, qualifications & experience

Having several years experience working with clients, I have subsequently seen satisfactory results throughout the therapeutic process. Other areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of interest:

  • Group Support
  • Christian coaching & mentoring
  • Christian counselling/therapy
  • Multicultural counselling (inclusive of all backgrounds/culture)

People who would like to talk to someone about their circumstances, might think twice about approaching a professional, because of the stigma associated with mental health issues.
However, talking about your situation is not mental health. Instead, it is an opportunity to spend time with someone qualified, who is ready to listen and help you work out issues in your life, in a safe and confidential environment.
Therefore, view this as an opportunity for positive change, for better choices and for progress in your life. Celebrities, royals, and famous people seek help, because they are only human, just like you.
So please be encouraged and phone, email or text me today to get the help that you need and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Therapy fees are reasonably priced between £50.00 to £70.00 per session (50 mins).
However, during the initial 1/2 hr assessment, based on your income and circumstances, an agreement can be made to pay only what you can realistically afford, for each consecutive session.
There is a one-off low cost fee for the initial assessment (30 mins).
Crisis Listening / Coaching / Mentoring is £45.00 (50 mins). The fee for trainee psychotherapists and counsellors is between £35.00 per session. {All fees are based on a concessionary sliding scale}.
