About me
"No mountain is insurmountable, and no storm so rough, that they should be travelled alone". You can become free of distress which exhausts you, and regain a life with energy, purpose and more inner calm . I'd love you to try it for yourself. Text Sharon on 07902429787 for that first step.
What Can I Offer You?
Whatever your distress, we look gently with compassion. These issues may involve anxiety, stress, depression, social or relational difficulties, breakups, grief & loss, panic, spiritual crisis, work issues, life transitions, and so many more. By using many proven therapeutic skills and techniques, clarity, calmness, life energy and renewed optimism occurs.
To help you when you need it most I offer a FULL session asap within 1-3 days, reduced to £25, to talk over pressing worries, gain understanding, and coping techniques. This way, you can experience counselling and its benefits when you're most distressed in person, rather than the usual introductory calls often offered. Standard therapeutic 50 minute to 1 hour sessions are £45 during 9-5pm, or £55 evenings and weekends. I can also offer longer in depth sessions if needed. Walk and talk sessions are now available for women (in Lurgan) if nature helps you to be at ease!
My background is in both private and voluntary caring settings. Fully qualified, licensed, and experienced, I work with major proven recognised approaches as an integrative counsellor. I blend helpful methods and techniques to create a tailored, wide ranging therapy that best fits your needs. Therapy is about your healing, your answers, your happiness. We do this in a kind way with a curious outlook......... So you become your own best therapist! What you learn, you take with you for life.
These approaches include:
Cognitive Therapy (including CBT), a focus on the hows, whats, whys of the thought process and its influence, so you can alter what is unhelpful and create self enhancing mindsets and regulate distressing emotions.
Psychodynamic, providing helpful insights into feelings and beliefs, early life influences, attachment styles, and learnt perceptions, so you can change what is self sabotaging for empowering realisations.
Humanistic, with an emphasis on individuality, your beliefs, values, strengths. So you can be aware and have the ability to govern your life from a place of personal aptitude and confidence while appreciating how your emotions are helpful.
Meditational Practice & PMR, proven to ground, provide awareness of where you hold tension, breathe soothingly , and ease intrusive thinking which can be pervasive.
Solution Focused Therapy, which concentrates on what you 'really want', on how, when, and which manner best serves you. So life direction becomes a better fit and more fulfilling.
Positive psychology, and acceptance and commitment therapy, which combined create more robust self-esteem, ability to be calmer, and become more resilient and free flowing, than just focusing on confidence alone.
These proven methods are very effective for your well being and provide your way through many life events or ongoing issues. These can include loss of self identity, loneliness, low confidence, midlife crisis, social anxiety, relationship breakdown, narcissistic relationships, family estrangement, existential/ spiritual crisis, and grief.. And many more!
Please check out my website above for further information.
I'd love to encourage you to take this step for a better journey ahead.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
