About me
Life can bring many challenges, causing loss of direction and hope in who or where to turn or what direction to head. However, "No mountain is insurmountable, and no storm so rough, that they should be travelled alone". Would you like to see change, and believe enough to try? Are you "good to go"? If yes, I'd love to hear from you! Email Sharon at goodtogocounselling@gmail for a FREE first introductory session!
What Can I Offer You?
I provide a very private and confidential service online or by phone, with free first session, to gain insights and understanding to help you see possible ways to begin to take that path to a better life ahead.
Being a trained integrative counsellor, I can draw from a variety of therapeutic models and make use of different techniques best suited to you, your preferences, and the difficulties affecting your life.
These include:
Cognitive Therapy (including CBT), a focus on the hows, whats, whys of the thought process and its influence.
Psychodynamic, providing helpful insights into our feelings and beliefs, early life influences, attachment styles, and ways of relating from past to present.
Humanistic, with an emphasis on individuality, your own beliefs, values, strengths, and ability to govern your life from a place of personal aptitude.
Meditational Practice, which simply grounds and provides more self awareness of where you hold tension, how to release and begin to relax, how to breathe properly, and how to gain clarity and ease anxious thinking which can be pervasive.
Solution Focused Therapy, which concentrates on what you 'really want', on how, when, and which manner best serves you using techniques such as 'SMART goals'.
Therapy is provided on a weekly basis online, by phone, or 1-1 from a variety of bases, all of which include free easy parking in Banbridge, Craigavon and Belfast.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
