About me

Introduction

I’m Sham, a fully accredited integrative psychotherapist and counsellor (MNCPS) based in SE London. I’m of mixed British/Egyptian ethnicity.

Why counselling, why now?
you don’t need to be in crisis to seek support, you just need to be ready to feel heard, supported and understood. You may feel anxious, exhausted, stuck, or lacking in confidence and self-worth. You might be struggling with loss, a major life change, or simply have a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right.

What to expect

I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk freely, explore what’s on your mind, make sense of your experiences and understand what may be going on beneath the surface. We may explore patterns, process difficult feelings; finding practical ways to help you move forward.

My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT models.

You won’t just get me agreeing with everything you say or simply asking, “How does that make you feel?”

What You will get is get honest, compassionate conversations, gentle but healthy challenge, and a space where we can explore things together.

And if the moment allows, we might even have a laugh—because sometimes, after everything life throws at us, laughter is exactly what helps us keep going.

As therapy is a personal journey, our work will be tailored to your individual needs. Together, at your own pace, we’ll work towards greater clarity, calm, and self-trust, helping you move forward with support.

If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch for a free 20-minute consultation. We can see if we’re a good fit and take it from there.

My therapy room is open to people from all backgrounds and I am an LGBTQ+ Ally
