About me
Art Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Therapy
My approach focuses on developing a trusting relationship and a safe place where my clients can process difficult experiences, develop greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, as well as find new solutions. The use of arts and play in the therapy can become a powerful means of expression when words are not enough, or when verbal communication is difficult.
I can include working outdoors in nature and with horses in our sessions. Horses' emotional sensitivity and natural drive to connect means they can provide a powerful therapeutic space for reflection and healing and an alternative to conventional room-based therapies.
Equine-assisted therapy has been evidenced in the treatment of Trauma, PTSD and addiction. It is also known to support and engage adults, children and adolescents with a range of mental health difficulties including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety, Complex Trauma and Eating Disorders.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
