About me

I’m Selina, a warm, person-centred counsellor in Leicestershire (LE9), offering online counselling across the UK.

Many of the people I work with appear to be coping on the outside, while inside their thoughts feel busy, self-critical, or exhausting — particularly those who are neurodivergent or who feel they’ve spent a lifetime trying to fit in. You don’t need a diagnosis or to know what to say to begin.

I offer a calm, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely and be met with empathy, respect, and understanding. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready — we’ll simply start where you are.

With over 30 years of NHS experience and trauma-informed practice, I bring both professional knowledge and a deep understanding of how anxiety, self-doubt, and neurodivergent experiences can quietly affect everyday life.

I work in a  person-centred way, supporting you to explore your thoughts and feelings in the here and now. Together, we can untangle worry, build self-trust, and help you feel more at home in your mind and body.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call so you can ask questions and see whether counselling with me feels right — with no pressure and no obligation to book. Many people find this helps ease nerves and makes taking the first step feel manageable

Further information

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when met with empathy, acceptance, and understanding. I will work alongside you, helping you to explore your experiences in a way that feels safe, supportive, and meaningful.

I have particular experience working with neurodivergent clients, including autistic individuals and those with ADHD, as well as people experiencing anxiety. I understand that neurodivergence can shape how we experience relationships, emotions, work, education, and daily life. Together, we can explore these experiences in a way that honours your individuality and strengths, without judgement or pressure to fit into someone else's expectations.

I currently offer counselling online via Zoom and by telephone. If you would like to find out more about how we might work together, please feel free to contact me by phone or email for an initial conversation.
