Counsellor, Cognitive Hypnotherapist, Acupuncturist

About me

I'm a counsellor, cognitive hypnotherapist and acupuncturist based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. I work with adults who are struggling with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, unresolved grief, perfectionism, relationship patterns, and the lingering effects of trauma.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I draw from Gestalt therapy, cognitive hypnotherapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and body-oriented work tailoring the process to support what each individual needs. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, lost, or simply not yourself, I offer a calm and supportive space to explore what’s going on, at your own pace and without judgment.

I believe therapy is most effective when it meets you where you are not just with insight, but with presence. That means attending to both what’s happening in your mind and how it’s felt in the body. Sometimes the work is about untangling thoughts and beliefs. Sometimes it’s about regulating the nervous system. And often, it’s about gently getting to know the parts of you that were once pushed aside.

I only work with adults (18+) and sessions take place at Berkhamsted Chiropractic Clinic on the High Street, where I offer both daytime and evening appointments Monday - Friday

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
