About me
Sass Boucher MSc PgDip BA(Hons) MBACP Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
*Covid-19* Update
Please note that I am currently continuing to work online with clients, via video platforms, and review this on a monthly basis.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and fully insured.
My work with clients largely explores areas around anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, confidence, relationship issues, domestic and sexual abuse, loss and bereavement, work based stress, acute or chronic stress and ways to work with burnout and professional trauma and fatigue.
My experience as a counsellor and therapist is wonderfully varied. I work with clients over the age of 14 years, in any area of their of their life where they would like to make sustainable changes, gain a greater understanding of who they are, and how they might like to use this understanding to make those changes.
Please get in touch by pressing the red button to email me, or telephone the number above. I will endeavour to make contact with you as soon as possible to discuss how we might move forward and work together.
I also offer professional reflective supervision and support for those working in Social Care and Health, Education the Police and any other role that may feel the benefit of objective private support. Specifically any role that is caring for others, or supporting those who have experienced trauma. This highly stressful work may put you at risk of burnout, stress, compassion fatigue, secondary trauma and vicarious trauma.
Other professional roles, managers and senior exec teams may also feel an additional need for objective therapeutic support in order to buffer burnout stress and exhaustion.
Many thanks
Sass

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
