About me
I'm a qualified BACP registered counsellor, trained in the integrative approach. This means I draw upon different modalities to best suit the individual needs of the client. I mostly identify with the skills and techniques offered in Person-Centred therapy however. My main aim is to provide an empathetic and unconditionally supportive space for my clients to share and explore whatever they would like to. Through building a strong relationship and trust, I can help you uncover your own value, whilst strengthening your ability to cope with a variety of life and mental health issues. I may also use the Psychodynamic approach to help process underlying, possibly unconscious, feelings from the past. Negative patterns in thoughts and behaviour may be recognised and challenged using knowledge of CBT. I collaboratively work towards improved self-awareness and increased life-fulfilment for my clients.
Having worked in many industries and travelling and living in different parts of the world, I have developed an understanding of varied lifestyles and backgrounds. Teaching in other countries, in many different environments, has shaped my respect for all types of people and their individual life struggles. I understand the pressures of modern-day life and the direct impact this can have on happiness and mental health. My life experience has supported my ability to provide a non-judgmental attitude towards others. I have worked successfully with clients with issues that include anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, family/relationship issues, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem, life stressors, work issues.
I have just moved location and finished working at a South London school. I had a full timetable of regular students between the ages of 11-18. I worked with them through similar issues I have seen with adults.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer a free initial 15 minute phone chat so I can understand more about what brings you to therapy. This also allows me to explain more about how we might work together, and see if we are a good match.
I can consider a student/under 18s discount if possible for online clients. Please get in touch, as I believe everyone deserves the opportunity of therapy.
