About me
I believe that the most important part of therapy is the relationship between the client and the counsellor; my approach to therapy is two equal humans meeting together, not a client meeting an “expert”. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening for you, how your past experiences shape your present, and how our interactions in the room can help you make sense of patterns in your life. “Integrative” therapy means that the therapy is tailored to you in a client-centered way, and I will draw on different approaches throughout our work together rather than sticking to one model of therapy, according to client needs and preferences. We will pay close attention to the relationship between us as part of the healing process; the relationship we build is a key part of the work.
I have direct experience with baby loss, infertility and bereavement by suicide and these are areas I am passionate about supporting. I have also worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD and childhood traumas including sexual abuse among many other presentations. I am open to supporting you through whatever difficulties you wish to explore, with empathy, compassion and a non-judgemental approach.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as a counsellor in October 2025 and completed my MA psychotherapy and Counselling in August 2026. Throughout my training and since qualifying I have worked in the voluntary sector providing both short and long term therpy to clinets with a wide range of presenting issues.
I am a practicing christian and am open to exploring faith together in the room if this is something you would like.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
