About me

I use an Integrative Approach to counselling. In other words, by using a variety of therapeutic approaches and theories I can tailor the counselling specifically to the individual and to their unique issues presented initially in therapy and subsequently throughout the therapeutic process.

By offering a confidential, trusting and relaxed environment, we can work through any issue, no matter how big or small, no matter how simple or complex.

I have experience in working with many issues including depression, stress, work related stress, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues, domestic abuse, rape and addiction. Any issue can be faced, explored and challenged together, working towards a more positive or manageable life position for the client. The counselling process can help to develop new coping strategies and tools to improve our lives.

Counselling can give us a better understanding of why we feel the way we do, why we do the things we do or react in the way we do. This can bring about enlightenment or a freedom leading us to cope better, increase confidence and feel better emotionally and mentally in our lives.
