About me

About me

I am fully qualified Psychotherapeutic Relational Counsellor; I am also full accredited with the UKCP, using a relational approach that allows me to work in a way that suits your specific needs. I offer a safe confidential space with a non-judgemental approach for you to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. I want to work alongside you in a respectful, empathic and gentle way, empowering you to make positive changes to your life and to support you through what could be a uncomfortable at times.

How can i help?

Counselling provides a safe, secure and confidential environment which leads towards developing a trusting therapeutic relationship. This can enable you to explore the difficulties you are experiencing and gain a deeper understanding of both yourself and the nature of your difficulties.
Counselling is the first step in enabling you to take control of your life and develop the self-awareness and confidence to make the changes you want.

Your first session

Finding the right counsellor can be a difficult process which is why I offer an initial chat before we decide if we want to start to work together, this can either take place over the phone or face to face.

My therapy room is a safe warm environment where I hold my face to face sessions, there is on street parking and I ensure I allow enough time between clients to uphold confidentiality. Once we have met for our first session we can then decide on a suitable time and day to maintain regular sessions.

As well as face to face Counselling, I offer Skype and telephone counselling. Skype counselling proves very effective and enables me to reach clients who may feel more relaxed talking with the comforts of their own home or clients who may not have easy access to transport. When using these methods we will arrange a suitable time for you to call me and payment will be made via bank transfer prior to the session.

I offer appointments day or evening and some weekend work can be available if required, please feel free to contact me with any further questions you may have, I will be happy to help, please note if I do not answer your call I will endeavour to call or email you back as soon as possible.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Psychotherapeutic Counselling Diploma and am a UKCP accredited therapist.

The model that I have trained in is the Relational Approach. This combines the analytical aspect of the Psychodynamic Approach with the warmth of Person Centred therapy. I also consider other theories in my practice such as Transactional Analysis and Gestalt therapy.
