About me
As a therapist, I deeply believe it's the power of a genuine, empathic connection that facilitates healing. My approach is person-centred, meaning I prioritise creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and valued.
I strive to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and respect, where your perspective and experience are the central focus of our work together. I assist clients in discovering the tools and strategies to enhance their lives and foster continued growth as they rebuild for the future.
Training, qualifications & experience
I offer a warm, welcoming and confidential space where you can feel truly heard and supported. I work with both adults and young people, drawing on over five years of experience within NHS services and private practice. Through both in-person and online sessions, I have had the privilege of building strong, meaningful connections with people from a wide range of backgrounds, and I consider it an honour to walk alongside individuals during important and often challenging times in their lives.
Alongside my counselling work, I bring over ten years of experience supporting children and young people, particularly those who have experienced trauma. This has given me a deep understanding of the impact of early experiences, as well as the importance of rebuilding trust and learning to manage difficult emotions. I have supported clients with a range of needs, including trauma, neurodivergence, relationship difficulties and experiences of abuse.
I hold a degree in Childhood Development and a Master’s in Clinical Counselling, and I continue to develop my practice through ongoing professional training, including specialised work in trauma techniques to support the processing of PTSD.
My approach is compassionate, respectful and collaborative. My Christian faith gently informs my values, offering a foundation of hope, grace and understanding, while always respecting each person’s own beliefs and journey.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
